1989 Mercedes-Benz E300 Sedan
Local trade-in at Mercedes-Benz dealer. The water pump was noisy and it's a difficult job, so they sold me the car. I pulled out my tools and went to work replacing the water pump, belt, belt tensioner, thermostat and housing and now the car runs nice a quietly. Then I took it to my mechanical shop and they performed a vehicle inspection including oil and filter change and replaced the front and rear brakes. In addition I also replaced the driver's power seat switch and now the car is all set to be enjoyed.
The exterior and interior are in like new condition and best of all these older Mercedes were built by Mercedes before they teamed up with Chrysler. So, it rides very smoothly and has that quality feel. It glides down the road and it's a great road car. There's a lot of value in this car with the low miles and new tires, new brakes, spotless interior and everything works. The air conditioning blows cold, the large power sunroof, windows, power seats and vintage Becker Grand Prix radio all work perfectly.
